More local alternative to the big box stores. Friendly and helpful staff, but also dont smother you if you're just looking. Prices are pretty comparable to the big box stores with the occasional outlier, so its worth checking here. Definitely recommend!

We have had our lawn equipment serviced here for years but this was our first time buying parts for our mower. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable They had the part in stock and the price was competitive. We have nothing but good things to say about our visit

Inside the store can't find help for anything. As for the small engine repair shop, went to order two cables for my lawn mower. This was on a Friday. I was told they would be in the following Thursday. Dropped by to ask a question about another mower part and verified while I was there again my cables would be in on Friday and guy said yes. Came in Thursday around 11 and no cables. Guy blaming it on UPS. Called later in the day again no cables and he started saying he was at the mercy of UPS. Told him if they weren't in on Friday I wanted a refund. He states special orders are non refundable. He did say that when I ordered. I then asked for the store manager and asked the manager to look into when the order was actually placed but the manager was rude as well. I hung up then called and asked for corporate number. Manager answered and tells me I have to enter information on webb site and there was no corporate number. I then Google Sutherland Corporate and it comes up with the phone number. I call and after speaking with a lady she says she'll look into the situation. She calls me back and informs me that the repair shop did not order my cables until Wednesday and that's why they di

I was ready to spend nearly $1,400 on materials for my yard remodel, including three pallets of retaining wall blocks, several truckloads of mulch, and other supplies. Unfortunately, the gentleman inside who handles ordering was not willing to order the matching caps I needed for the block wall. It is very frustrating that the store carries 6 full pallets of red blocks, but does not stock the matching caps to go with them. Then the customer is told they have to special order them and wait around six weeks. That is not good customer service, especially for customers who are ready to spend $1,000 to $1,500 or more on a project. If this happens repeatedly, that can easily add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost business over time. The old management at this store used to be amazing, so it is sad to see the store going downhill. I have spent a lot of money here this year, but after this experience, I am seriously considering taking my business somewhere else in the future. Now it looks like I will have to drive about 45 minutes to another Sutherlands store to get the blocks and caps I need, and hopefully the colors match. I searched many retailers trying to find replacement blades for a vintage jigsaw (with a U-shank). Finally, I was in Joplin and went to Sutherlands. I asked a clerk about assistance. They smartly paged the manager who was on the isle within a couple minutes. They had exactly what I needed! Next time, go to Sutherlands FIRST!
